There is a loud horn, and I see Chris Sabin, Alex Shelly, and Calypso Blaze getting out of their car and walking toward Sabrina and me. Chris, Alex stop to look at each other all wearing basic black t-shirts and blue jeans
“I see you are all ready one of us. You’re already dressing like you” Chris says smiling
“It wouldn’t be that easy if you weren’t so predictable.”
“We aren’t that predictable” Chris fires back as Caly and Rina laugh
“Yeah, you are” They both said simultaneously
“Ok” I try to stop laughing to speak “Let’s stop laughing at what we’re wearing and do something” I can see Chris look at Rina that way. I know what he wants “Come on, it’s me, I know you want to kiss her. You don’t have to treat me like you would Vince.” He leans in and kisses her. When he finishes he looks up to see me channel-surfing (daydreaming). I zone back and see him regretting the kiss
“Are you thinking about Amber?”
“Yea, she is going to be back tomorrow. Don’t feel bad, I would probably be doing the same with her if she was here” I don’t know, we have drifted some when she first came back into my life. I tried to talk her out coming on the road with me, but she is stubborn, like me. “Don’t worry about me, enjoy the day like you normally would”
“Like that would stop them” Caly said under her breath. Rina and I both started laughing. All three of us knew Chris and Alex, and that would be true.
I walk back to the entrance of the mall and pull a dollar and a quarter out of my pocket. I put it in the machine and get myself a Dr. Pepper. I sip it and walk back to the car.
“So what are you planning after Raw tomorrow?”
“If I’m not in a hospital by force then I plan on going back and causing trouble at my hometown.”
“What kind of trouble”
“Run around town with an Army Jeep and bull horn, shooting off fireworks at midnight, that sort of thing.” Chris and Alex knew I was joking but found it amusing “If I could get away with it I would. Probably just going to visit my two friends and hang at my house” I figured he thought my old folks “My house as in the one I own”
“You have a house?” Chris asked
“Yeah, I bought one shortly after I won the title last month. That way I would have a place to stay in case I was down. It is in the suburbs in Munfordville, it is a little piece from my hometown.” I put air quotes around hometown because it isn’t home for me anymore.
“Can you walk?” Alex asks
“If I can’t, then how have I been getting around?” Caly and Rina laughed at my sarcasm. I’ve become much better at on the spot sarcasm since hanging with Caly and Rina. There great teachers.
“If you can, come down. I hate being by myself.” I stop to think for a second “Rina, ask for next week off. There is a big mess with the arena for Raw next week, and Dad isn’t going to be in any good mood.”
“Sure, but what should I tell him”
“Come on, I’m your bro, something will happen between now and then. If not, we will make something up. I have you covered”
“If you don’t mind, I would like to do that” Chris interuptted
“Sure, but please don’t do it here. Doing that in a mall parking lot would be very weird, not to mention cheesy” Alex spit out that he was snacking on laughing, and Sabrina blushed. “At least I l know where I get the blushing from”
“So tell us about the house”
“It is four bedroom, three bath, and brick. It has plenty of room to fool around”
“He knows me so well” Chris admitted while he took his hands off of Sabrina’s waist. I scribble down the address on a scrap piece of paper and hand it to Caly.
“What time is good?” I smile and get out two keys. I give one to Sabrina and the other one to Caly
“Anytime. Just to let you know that I don’t have anything on the mailbox, I decided against it because a few idiot teens in the area would vandalize it if they knew I lived there.”
“When will you be down, I don’t want to intrude?” I look at Caly and smile
“Well, Monday night after Raw more than likely. If I’m not there Monday night, then I will be there early Tuesday morning. And don’t feel like your intruding, that’s why I gave you a key.”
“I really hate to cut this short, but we have to be at the arena for superstar bell time.” Rina upsets me, she’s here with her boy
“Yeah, what would be McMahon bell time?” Caly started to grin.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              “The same as the superstars, but you guys can come.”
“We won’t be there at the beginning of the show, but we will be there before Jarrett’s match” Chris said as he smiled at me. “Do you mind if we take him to the show tonight Rina? I need to find out what his place has to offer me” Caly hit him upside the head.
“I guess I can hold up fort, but I need you to be there before 5 Eastern time, deal”
“Deal” Rina got back in Alice and drove off.
“Do you think she suspects something?”
“With these two, something is always going on, but as far as what you are afraid of, no” All three of us smile as we drive off.
